Yemenite Hand-Filigree Silver Menorah on Jerusalem Stone Base

This handmade modular Chanukah menorah, is rich in filigree work. Its base is Jerusalem stone with two delicate cone-shaped filigree connections. Both wax candles and oil can be used in the candleholders, which can be removed for cleaning. The sleek design of the body of the menorah blends with the Yemenite filigree work of the base and the branches.

All of Ben-Zion’s judaica is handmade from sterling silver. The artist prepares the silver threads himself, interweaving them to the left and to the right in order to achieve that special and unique braided effect. Ben-Zion explains: “My filigree judaica is made using a very old technique that is disappearing from our world. Creating a masterpiece requires attention to fine details, great imagination and of course, patience.”
