Hand Built Porcelain Kiddush Cup – Elijah’s Cup
The technique used to make this substantial hand made kiddush cup out of porcelain is quite involved: Vicki made the base and the drinking cup on the wheel, and then connected and balanced the two with strands of porcelain. The porcelain required weeks of slow drying and refining before the first firing. Made in a high fire gas kiln.
Perfect as a kiddush cup, the design also lends itself to use as an Elijah’s Cup or Miriam’s Cup.
