All Pashom products are felted and sewn entirely by hand from 100% New Zealand wool, designed in Australia by Fiona Chadwick and handmade in a small fair trade women’s cooperative in Kathmandu, Nepal with whom Fiona has been working for more than 12 years. When you purchase this product you are supporting and contributing to the sustainability of small fair trade cottage craft industries in Nepal. The co-operative in Kathmandu employs over 80 women full-time and provides them with vocational skills enabling them to support their families.

All Pashom felt products are made entirely by hand from natural fibers, designed in Australia by founder Fiona Chadwick and handmade with love by women artisans in a small fair trade women's cooperative in Kathmandu, Nepal using 100% natural New Zealand wool. Fiona has been working directly with this group of women for more than 12 years. The co-operative in Kathmandu employs over 80 women full-time and provides them with vocational skills enabling them to support their families. They are incredibly skilled in the art of felting, which is an intricate process of lathering wool and hot soapy water together creating through moisture, heat and friction a unique and beautiful product.
