Rumi Literature Series Glass Platter
$285.00
The contemporary vessel is deep-carved with inspirational text by Rumi, a 13th century poet, philosopher and mystic of Islam who advocated for unlimited tolerance and charity. Rumi’s doctrine advocates unlimited tolerance, positive reasoning, goodness, charity and awareness through love. To him and his disciples all religions are more or less true. Looking with the same eye on Muslim, Jew, Buddhist and Christian alike, his peaceful and tolerant teaching has appealed to men and women of all sects and creeds. This vessel offers a great statement about how to approach life for those who are looking to express their spirituality and their faith in a common good.
Each vessel is fired twice to arrive at the free-form and non-symmetrical shapes. Every vessel is different from the next and each vessel is truly a one-of-a-kind art glass vessel. Comes with an easel for display. Available in silver or gold.

Stephen Schlanser, the founder and owner of Schlanser Design Studio, an innovative company that unfolded from a small stained glass studio in Southern California, found his interest in glass while working as an apprentice for the renowned German glass artisan Paul von Domarus. He has since taken the glass medium into unexplored territories. Schlanser's works exhibit a complete mastery of the art of cut and blown glass, perfectly uniting functional art and gleaming sculpture.
