Meet the Artist: Tarig Tallit by Benny Anderman
Benny Anderman's family, eastern European in origin, immigrated to Mexico, where he was raised. Looking for a lighter and more colorful tallit, he took the aesthetics he developed in Mexico and began to handweave 100% pure cotton tallitot. He named his business TARIG - an acrostic between the Hebrew for "tallit" -prayer shawl, and "ariga" -weaving. When you wear a Tarig tallit it feels like the most gentle of hands wraps you in its embrace.
