Fieldstone Food Slab

Each Food Slab is made from hand-gathered fieldstone at small farms throughout the country. This food-safe dish is then crafted by hand-sawing and hand-polishing the rock with diamond tools in American Stonecraft’s Lowell, MA studio. Its farm-provenance is permanently labeled on the underside and clear silicon feet have been added to protect tabletops. Use this dish to serve food, as a challah board, chill it in the freezer, or use it as a resting place for hot dishes. Some of the slabs are made from stone that is much more rare than the stone typically cut for food slabs, with lots of additional color and movement. They are marked with a red gem on the label and cost slightly more than the typical slab in the same size.
