Meet the Artist: Shoham Simchi
Shoham Simchi was born in Israel in 1969, second generation Israeli to a Yemenite family. As a teenager, Shoham began to learn and work as a silversmith, following in a traditional family profession. Shoham has produced over the last two decades ceremonial Judaica objects in sterling silver filigree. Shoham places great emphasis on designs which accent traditional Jewish motifs, while introducing an element of modernity into both his technique and designs.
