Agayof

For the last 40 years Avner Agayof, a trained silversmith, has been one of the most important Judaica artists in Israel. Together with his son Avia, they design contemporary, unique and geometric Judaic ritual items from their workshop in Jerusalem, specializing in combining hi-tech methods and materials and traditional artwork. Working primarily in anodized aluminum, Avner's aesthetic sensibilities allows him to contrast simple architectural geometric forms such as the circle, triangle, and square with elements inspired by nature, and he is adept at the subdued use of color and Hebrew writing in the production of his creations.
