Wire Crochet Mixed Media Antique Silver Kippah
$110.00
StudioJere’s mixed media kippot by Jere Moskovitz start as an open crochet stitch in wire with a beaded edge. Hand woven in to the structure are carefully selected yarns, ribbons, and ribbon yarns in a variety of textures and colors. Many use yarns of variegated colors which enable the colors to randomly fall within the piece, making each one totally unique. This one uses antique silver wire with narrow jewel tone blue and silver ribbons. Each kippah is totally unique.
A plastic comb is securely attached to each kippah to assure comfortable and carefree wear.

Meet the Artist: Jere Moskovitz
Jere's handcrafted women’s wire kippot and wire jewelry are distinctive in that they feature traditional knit and crochet stitches and are embellished with a unique assortment of carefully selected fibers or beads. In June 2012, Jere's kippot were selected for inclusion in Cover Thy Head, a juried exhibition of kippot and other head coverings at The Morris and Sally Justein Heritage Museum in Toronto, Canada. During the past year Jere has focused on enhancing and expanding her jewelry lines. She loves the natural shaping ability of wire and the opportunity to combine textile accents with beads for a multimedia effect. Jere also takes great care to select clasps and other components with clean, modern lines that match the simplicity of the wire forms.
