The Waters Above Silk Tallit Set
$335.00
Handmade in Israel by textile artist Chana Cromer, this original fiberwork design is hand-dyed with fiber reactive dyes and painted and silkscreened in metallic pigments. The inspiration for this tallit is from Psalm 104, which is said when putting on the tallit; Chana loves the images of heavens and water in the first lines which are written on the tallit in Hebrew:
Bless the Almighty, Oh my soul.
Oh Lord my G-d, Thou art very great; Thou art clothed with glory and majesty.
Who coverest Thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;
Who layest the beams of Thine upper chambers in the waters,
who makest the clouds Thy chariot, who walkest upon the wings of the wind.
The blessing is silkscreened on the atarah. Matching tallit bag fastens with a button.
Tzitzit include blue thread.
