Sterling Silver and Blown Glass Tall Kiddush Cup Goblet
This unique and completely hand crafted cup by Israeli glass and silver worker Sherman is made of hand blown glass set into a sculpted sterling silver base and stem. The glass blowing process leaves the glass textured and striated, allowing variations in the coloring and light to seep through. The sculpting process used on the sterling silver base adds dimensionality and texture as well. No two are exactly alike and your cup may differ slightly from the one shown in the picture. Perfect as a Miriam’s cup as well. Artist imprint on the sculpted silver.
Materials: sterling silver, glass
Size: 7 1/4″ – 7 1/2″ tall, base 2 3/4″ diam; goblet 4″ deep x 2 1/2″ diam
Meet the Artist: Sherman Art Works
Sherman Art Works is a family business at work for decades, the last 20 years making their creations in Israel, all strictly by hand. The artists hand make the glass using complicated Murano glass blowing technologies and methods and they also use glass fusing techniques. Their skills help them to create products of the highest possible standard. Once the glass is blown, the artists coat the glass with silver art work also sculpted by hand.Learn More
