Simple Atarah Style Women’s Silk Tallit With Handpainted Flowers
This stunning tallit is made of the finest silks, and accented with stripes of different colored silk and handpainted flowers. Incredibly soft to touch, comfortable and elegant. The blessing is silk-screened on the atarah, which is striped to match the bottom. Any irregularities or variations in the weave and color are characteristic of the fine hand-loomed silk yarn which gives the fabric its beauty and texture.
The tallit is shaped in the back so that it lays evenly and cleanly over one’s shoulders.

Meet the Artist: Shosha
Shoshana, a formally trained textile designer, dyer and weaver, began her career as a tallit designer in the 1980s after she observed men grabbing practical, and not very pretty, tallitot as they entered a synagogue sanctuary, without connection to the garment or the ritual, and she decided to change that. There was a whole world of unexplored possibilities — new colors and different textiles with which to fashion vibrant new garments. Color has since become her signature.
