Jerusalem Stone Illuminated Seder Plate
Based upon the idea of ancient illuminated Hagadas, designers Alice and Brian Bergner of Caesarea Arts have engraved various texts such as “Ha Lachma Aniya”, “Ma Nishtana Ha’Laila Haze”, “Chacham Ma Hu Shoel” and others into this beautiful Jerusalem Stone Seder plate, “illuminating” them with the artists’ own version of gilding the colors. Dishes to hold the seder foods attach with magnets and are made of clear pyrex in order to retain the visibility of the engraved texts. Sits on metal feet that raise the plate from the table.

Meet the Artist: Caesarea Arts
Caesarea Arts Ltd is a multi-faceted studio run by husband and wife team Alice & Brian Bergner, who design and craft unique hand made jewelry, and manufacture stone and glass Judaica and giftware as well as accessories for the home environment. The location of their studio in Caesarea, Israel, a seafront township built around important archeological sites that date back to ancient times, is an undoubted inspiration for their work. Living as they do on the shore of the Mediterranean, the quality of thier life is determined to a great extent by the sea and all it represents. Willingly or not, the artists' moods and inspiration are in tandem with the mood of the sea. Their work, inevitably organic, is a homage of sorts, a salute to its life and debris.Learn More
