My colorful gouache paintings explore my fascination with storytelling, while exploring Jewish traditions, eastern philosophy, mythology, women’s empowerment and the Old Testament. As well as being uniquely creative and often symbolic, my work is very lunar centric. I work in gouache, an opaque watercolor medium that enhances my vibrant palette. Handmade paper adds texture and dimension to my paintings. The process is inspiring and exciting for me as I create each new piece and share it.
I have worked in a variety of media, including printmaking, drawing and painting. My work has been shown in exhibits and galleries in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts, including the Katonah Museum, the Aesthetic Sense Gallery, the Labriola Gallery and the Judaica Craft Show at Bet Am Shalom Synagogue. Additionally, an original painting was commissioned by Yeshiva University as a gift of thanks to the family of a major donor. I am represented in private collections in the United States, Japan, Great Britain, Israel and Hungary.
